This website is constructed using HTML, CSS, and jQuery (JavaScript) within the Bootstrap framework. It’s a project integral to my university classes, where each semester’s culmination involves applying all the acquired knowledge into a project. For this, I chose to design and build a website from scratch using custom code.

During a previous summer, I built a website for a company I interned with, utilizing the WordPress CMS. This project significantly enhanced my ability to customize code, particularly when the theme lacked specific or more complex functionalities that I needed to implement.

The video showcases my work process on WordPress for website design. It highlights the importance of creating user-friendly interfaces that cater to diverse devices. My design philosophy revolves around simplicity and clarity, aiming for a clean look that ensures ease of use for all users across various platforms.

In the video, I demonstrate how SEO operates. However, it’s essential to note that expecting immediate top-ranking results for keywords on Google searches isn’t realistic, especially when using a free version plugin. While it may take time to ascend to the top pages, the SEO mechanisms are indeed functional.

SEO functions in a way where repeat visitors play a crucial role in signaling the value your website offers, contributing to improved SEO performance in multiple ways:

  1. Increased Engagement: Repeat visitors are more likely to engage with your content, leaving comments, sharing articles, and linking back to your site, which positively impacts search engine visibility.

  2. Lower Bounce Rates: A reduced bounce rate, indicating visitors spend more time on your site and engage with the content, is a favorable signal for search engines.

  3. Social Signals: Return visitors sharing your content on social media indirectly boosts SEO by enhancing brand recognition and attracting more traffic.

  4. Enhanced User Experience: Repeat visits suggest a positive user experience, a pivotal factor in search engine rankings.

  5. Higher Conversion Rates: Return visitors are prone to take desired actions like subscribing or purchasing, signaling your website’s value, which in turn aids in better search engine rankings.
